Over the past decade Residential and commercial development in Coomera real estate has exploded. Gold Coast City Council and the State Government have long earmarked Coomera as the new satellite growth suburb of the Gold Coast. This is similar in many ways to suburb of Robina.
The area is separated into Coomera to the east and Upper Coomera to the west of the M1 respectively. The suburbs are very different from each other and this is reflected in the median house prices.
Coomera lies on the opposite side of the Coomera River to Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island, and as such offers substantial opportunities for waterfront living, with a marina already in place. The suburb also has excellent access to and from the Pacific Motorway.
Some of the newer developments on the Coomera precinct include the canal estate of Coomera Waters Village and Resort. The estate has a 17 hectare lake, 70 berth marina and direct Broadwater access, and recreational facilities.
River Links is another estate in the area where the lots vary in size from 300 square metres to 1,642 square metres. Also more than half the estate is committed to open space park land and waterways.
The Coomera train station and a number of schools already service the area and major infrastructure – such as the Coomera Town Centre – is being implemented.
Coomera’s population is expected to multiply to about 80,000 over the next 20 years as the area develops into a self-sufficient town centre.
